STOP THE KILLING OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S HEALTHY BABIES

Since South Australia introduced abortion up to birth in 2022, 79 healthy, viable babies have been killed under these radical laws.

We were told this would never happen. We were promised that abortion up until birth would not target healthy, viable children. But the truth is now undeniable, and it is horrifying.

The government’s own Abortion Reporting Committee reveals that 75% of abortions performed after 22 weeks and 6 days are on healthy babies.

Babies who were viable. Babies who could have survived with care.

These babies were not lost to emergencies. They were not lost to life-threatening conditions. They were killed because of “mental” or “physical” health concerns that posed no immediate risk to the mother’s life.

And make no mistake about what that killing looks like. A lethal injection into the baby’s heart. A tiny body forced into cardiac arrest. Labor induced. A stillborn baby delivered.

This is not healthcare. This is not compassion. This is barbaric violence against children who had a heartbeat, who could respond to touch, who could have lived.

Feticide is never required to save a mother’s life. Early delivery without killing the child is standard medical practice for conditions like high blood pressure, organ disease, or cancer treatments. Yet in South Australia, healthy babies are still being deliberately killed, even in the third trimester.

Enough is enough.

It is time to end this violence. We will be introducing a bill to the South Australian Parliament to restrict late-term abortions and protect these babies from death.
