Victorian Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell has launched one of the most radical abortion pushes Australia has ever seen.

Her plan would:

  • Make abortion free right up to birth - paid for by your taxes.
  • Force Christian and faith-based hospitals to take part in abortions or shut their doors.
  • Strip doctors and nurses of their right to conscience.
  • Create a “watchdog” to monitor and intimidate health workers who dare to say no.
  • Introduce “no-ultrasound pathways” - so women never see the child growing inside them.

This isn’t compassion.

This isn’t care.

It’s erasing the baby and silencing anyone who stands in the way.

A “no-ultrasound” pathway means women are kept in the dark - because one look at that little heartbeat might change everything.
They know it. That’s why they want it gone.

This is dehumanisation at its darkest - removing empathy by removing sight.

Stripping away institutional conscientious objection is a direct attack on Christians and other health professionals who refuse to participate in abortion.

This is Christian persecution in plain sight - forcing Christians and other medical workers to compromise their deepest beliefs

We defeated this kind of extremism in NSW and we can do it again.
