Right now, South Australian MP Ben Hood’s Termination of Pregnancy and Live Births Amendment Bill (also known as the Viable Babies Bill) is set to be debated and voted on in Parliament on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.

This life-saving bill would ensure that in pregnancies over 27 weeks and 6 days, babies are born alive instead of being killed by a lethal injection. These are highly viable infants. At this stage, they have around a 96% chance of survival if delivered and given care.

Since abortion-to-birth laws came into effect in South Australia, 45 healthy, viable babies have been killed after 22 weeks... even though the mothers’ lives were not at risk. The Viable Babies Bill would finally bring common sense back into law, ensuring these children are delivered alive and given a chance at life.

On Wednesday 12 November, as Parliament sits to decide, we will gather on the steps of Parliament House in Adelaide to show our support. By standing together, we can send a clear message to our MPs: South Australians believe every baby deserves a chance at life.

Join us at the Viable Babies Rally and help make history.

Together, let’s be a voice for those who cannot speak.
